GIFT Nifty, the flagship derivative contract traded on NSE International Exchange (NSE IX) at GIFT City, posted its highest-ever monthly turnover of $102.35 billion (Rs 8.75 lakh crore) in May 2025, marking a new milestone for the platform. Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup is accelerating its expansion into the Indian market through its electric vehicle (EV) arm VinFast, which is actively engaging with several state governments and preparing for a key product launch. The introduction of its VF7 and VF6 models, expected before the upcoming festival season, will mark the official entry of Vingroup, one of Vietnam’s leading conglomerates, into India.The company has already committed $2 billion to setting up an EV manufacturing plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, selected for its strategic location and infrastructure. "We visited several states and inspected multiple locations... before finally zeroing in on Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu because of the logistical advantages it offers... with a port and airport nearby," said VinFast Asia CEO Pham Sanh Chau, speaking to PTI.In addition to Tamil Nadu, VinFast is currently in discussions with the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to establish additional facilities. "Yes, we are in talks with other states as well. VinFast plans to establish a strong brand presence and expand its dealership network based on the growth potential of each city."The federal government (Centre) in India as well as the state government in Tamil Nadu were supportive, and talks progressed well, enabling us to enter the country with the plant in Thoothukudi, where work progressed very fast over the past 15 months," Chau added.Chau also emphasized the long-standing ties between India and Vietnam, stating that the relationship "dates back to the days of President Ho Chi Minh and Mahatma Gandhi". He added, "These apart, the current investment environment in India is very attractive and we knew it was the right time to enter the country." संवाद सूत्र, मसौढ़ी (पटना)। पटना जिले के मसौढ़ी थाना क्षेत्र के निसियावां गांव में शराब पीने के आरोप में आबकारी पुलिस की छापेमारी के दौरान 40 वर्षीय उपेंद्र बिंद की नाले में गिरकर मौत हो गई। घटना के बाद गुस्साए ग्रामीणों ने मसौढ़ी अनुमंडल चौराहे पर शव रखकर सड़क जाम कर दी और आबकारी पुलिस की गाड़ी में आग लगा दी।

स्थिति को नियंत्रित करने के लिए अतिरिक्त पुलिस बल तैनात

पुलिस के अनुसार, शराब पीने की सूचना पर आबकारी पुलिस ने निसियावां गांव में छापेमारी की थी। इस दौरान उपेंद्र पुलिस को देखकर भागने की कोशिश में पास के पानी भरे नाले में गिर गए, जिससे उनकी मौके पर ही मौत हो गई।

घटना से आक्रोशित ग्रामीणों ने अनुमंडल चौराहे को जाम कर दिया और आबकारी पुलिस के सरकारी आवास पर पहुंचकर पथराव शुरू कर दिया। इस दौरान वहां खड़ी आबकारी पुलिस की स्कार्पियो गाड़ी में आग लगा दी गई। पथराव के बीच आबकारी पुलिसकर्मी आवास की खिड़की से कूदकर भाग निकले।

घटना की सूचना पर मसौढ़ी थाना पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और ग्रामीणों को समझाने का प्रयास किया, लेकिन प्रदर्शनकारी एसएसपी को बुलाने की मांग पर अड़े रहे।

स्थिति को नियंत्रित करने के लिए भारी पुलिस बल तैनात किया गया है। ग्रामीणों का आरोप है कि पुलिस की लापरवाही से यह हादसा हुआ। पुलिस ने जांच शुरू कर दी है और शांति बनाए रखने की अपील की है

संवाद सूत्र, फुलवारीशरीफ। डायल 112 में तैनात महिला आरक्षी कनक प्रिया की संदिग्ध परिस्थितियों में मौत हो गई। घटना के बाद, उसका पति प्रभात राज शव को बिना पुलिस को सूचित किए गया के डोभी लेकर जा रहा था।

इस बीच, कनक प्रिया की बहन को इस बात की जानकारी मिली, जिसके बाद उसने परसा बाजार थाना पुलिस को सूचित किया। पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए प्रभात को शव के साथ गिरफ्तार कर लिया और शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया।

पुलिस ने घटनास्थल पर पहुंचकर जांच की और पाया कि मामला पूरी तरह संदिग्ध है। कनक प्रिया का तीन साल का पुत्र प्रणव अपनी मौसी से रोते हुए कह रहा था कि पापा ने मम्मी को मार डाला। इस बयान ने मामले को और गंभीर बना दिया।

पुलिस ने एफएसएल की टीम को बुलाकर आवश्यक साक्ष्य इकट्ठा किए। महिला आरक्ष्री की बहन मिनाक्षी ने बताया कि उनकी बहन कनक प्रिया बिहार पुलिस की जवान थी और पटना में डायल 112 में तैनात थी।

कनक की शादी प्रभात राज से हुई थी, जो कि डायल 100 में तैनात हैं। उनका एक बेटा है, जिसका नाम प्रणव है, जो तीन साल का है। शनिवार की सुबह प्रभात ने परिवार को सूचित किया कि कनक की तबीयत खराब थी और उसकी मौत हो गई है।

इस पर परिवार वालों को शक हुआ और उन्होंने पुलिस को सूचित किया कि कनक की हत्या की गई है। पुलिस ने शव को परस के पाया नम्बर 18 के पास से बरामद किया और प्रभात को हिरासत में ले लिया। प्रभात ने पत्नी की आत्महत्या करने की बात कही, लेकिन पुलिस की जांच में कई साक्ष्य मिले।

एफएसएल की टीम ने पाया कि जिस पंखे से आत्महत्या का दावा किया गया, वह बिना किसी झुकाव के था। इसके अलावा, जिस चुनरी से लटकने की बात की गई, उसकी लंबाई इतनी थी कि उससे आत्महत्या संभव नहीं।

पुलिस ने शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया और प्रभात को हिरासत में रखा है। कनक प्रिया के स्वजनों ने थाना में हत्या की प्राथमिकी दर्ज कराई है। थानाध्यक्ष मेनका रानी ने बताया कि घटनास्थल और शव की स्थिति को देखकर आत्महत्या का मामला संदिग्ध लग रहा है। पोस्टमार्टम के बाद मौत के कारणों का पर्दाफाश होगा।

जागरण संवाददाता, पटना। मुजफ्फरपुर से पटना रेफर की गई दुष्कर्म पीड़िता को पीएमसीएच में उपचार के लिए करीब चार घंटे प्रतीक्षा करनी पड़ी। वह एंबुलेंस में ही दर्द से छटपटाती रही।

नाबालिग को अच्छी चिकित्सा के लिए श्रीकृष्ण मेडिकल कॉलेज एवं अस्पताल (एसकेएमसीएच), मुजफ्फरपुर से पटना रेफर किया गया था।

यहां आने के बाद स्वजन उपचार के लिए दौड़ते रहे, पर व्यवस्था जैसे संवेदनाशून्य हो। वह बच्ची तड़पती रही, पर उसकी त्वरित चिकित्सा को लेकर तत्परता तो दूर, किसी ने बात तक नहीं की। इस बीच सूचना मिलने पर प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष राजेश कुमार वहां पहुंचे। उनके समर्थकों ने नारेबाजी भी की।

जब मामला तूल पकड़ने लगा तो करीब चार घंटे बाद प्रभारी अधीक्षक के हस्तक्षेप से बच्ची को स्त्री एवं प्रसूति रोग विभाग की आइसीयू में भर्ती कराया गया। उसके साथ दुष्कर्म के बाद गले एवं सीने पर वार भी किया गया था, जहां चीरा लगा था।

स्वजनों ने बताया कि पीड़िता को एसकेएमसीएच, मुजफ्फरपुर में भर्ती कराया गया था। वहां से पीएमसीएच भेजा गया था, ताकि बेहतर चिकित्सा मिल सके, पर यहां आने के बाद भी वह दर्द से चार घंटे तक तड़पती ही रही और कोई सहायता नहीं मिली।

एक ओर बच्ची दर्द से तड़प रही थी, वहीं दूसरी ओर स्वजन चारो तरफ गुहार लगाते रहे। इस संबंध में पीएमसीएच के उपाधीक्षक सह प्रभारी अधीक्षक डॉ. अभिजीत सिंह ने बताया कि बच्ची के उपचार में तीन विभाग शामिल हैं। चूंकि ईएनटी में पीड़िता को भर्ती कराने की स्थिति नहीं थी, इसलिए ईएनटी के डॉक्टरों ने एंबुलेंस में ही देखा। इसके बाद स्त्री रोग विभाग में भर्ती कर उपचार किया जा रहा है।
