The Chamber’s Library, set up in the year 1946, is known all over the region for its unique collection of about 10,000 plus books, periodicals and journals besides some invaluable collection of newspapers like Harijan, Searchlight, Leader, Aryavarta, Weekly Hindustan and Indian Nation for more than 50 years.

Thousands of books and periodicals related with trade, commerce and economy are available in the library e.g. RBI’s Bulletin (both in English & Hindi), Tax Saver Magazine (English), Tax Patrika (Hindi), Labour News published by All India Organization of Employers, Business Digests, Expert Papers and Research Works published by International & National Level Organizations.

Books on literature, social causes, socio-economic issues, as well as political issues and philosophies are also available in good numbers in the library of the Chamber. Besides, it has books on national and international history, politics, on Arya Samaj, Buddhism, Hindu cults etc.


  • The BCC library is unique among other libraries of Bihar and Eastern India because it is having almost Every Gazette issued by the Government of Bihar since the year 1951 besides having the copy of India Gazettes of the same period.
  • Comprises numerous Research Works, Studies etc. carried by nationally and internationally acclaimed Economists and Researchers – An extremely useful collection for the people related with trade, commerce & industries.
  • The Library has been praised by a number of scholars / authors including the book titled “Re-promulgation of Ordinances : A Fraud of the Constitution of India (Published in 1983)” written by Mr. D. C. Wadhwa.


  • The Library is open for all BCCI Members.
  • Non Members can make its use by submitting application in writing
  • Visiting Hours : Between 11.00 AM to 6.00 PM on all weekdays / working days
  • Books / Periodicals / Gazettes are purely of Reference Nature. However, on request photo-copying of required sections of the documents may be allowed.
