Chamber President Shri P.K. Agrawal and Executive Committee Member Shri Sumit Kumar met Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Shri Balamurugan D., IAS, and Smt. Anita Shah Akela, IAS, at Kartavya Bhawan (Secretariat), New Delhi. They requested the early establishment of a National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) Bench in Patna. The officials assured that until a full bench is set up in Patna, a Circuit Bench can be started so that entrepreneurs, company secretaries, and professionals of the State do not have to travel to Kolkata for NCLT matters.
The Chamber has been continuously pursuing this matter for the last eight years, as at present entrepreneurs from Bihar have to go to Kolkata for cases related to the Companies Act, which leads to loss of both time and money.
The Chamber always works to improve facilities for entrepreneurs, businessmen, and professionals of the State, and this effort is part of that ongoing commitment.
